Welcome to USpeech Analytics! This guide will help you get started with the platform in just a few minutes.
What is USpeech Analytics?
Section titled “What is USpeech Analytics?”USpeech Analytics is a powerful research analysis platform designed for UX researchers, market researchers, and social scientists. It helps you:
- Transcribe audio and video recordings from interviews and focus groups
- Analyze conversations to extract insights like pain points, goals, and behavioral patterns
- Code survey responses automatically using AI-powered categorization
- Manage templates for consistent analysis across projects
Getting Started in 5 Minutes
Section titled “Getting Started in 5 Minutes”Step 1: Create Your First Project
Section titled “Step 1: Create Your First Project”- Log in to USpeech Analytics
- On the left sidebar, depending on your project type, click one of:
- Transcription — for transcribing and analyzing interviews, focus groups, or calls
- Survey Analysis — for coding open-ended survey responses
- Click New Project button (Survey Analysis) or choose New Project in the dropdown menu (Transcription)
- Give your project a descriptive name and click Create
Step 2: Upload Your Files
Section titled “Step 2: Upload Your Files”For Audio Analysis:
Section titled “For Audio Analysis:”- Click Upload Files in your project
- Select audio files (MP3, WAV, M4A) or video files (MP4, MOV)
- Files can be up to 2 hours long
For Survey Analysis:
Section titled “For Survey Analysis:”- Upload CSV or Excel files containing survey responses
- Make sure your data has a column with the responses you want to analyze
Step 3: Process Your Data
Section titled “Step 3: Process Your Data”Transcribing Audio:
Section titled “Transcribing Audio:”- Select the uploaded file
- Click Transcribe
- Wait for processing (typically 1/8 of the audio length)
- View and download your transcript
Analyzing Surveys:
Section titled “Analyzing Surveys:”- Select your uploaded file
- Choose the response column containing the text to analyze
- Select an analysis type:
- Open-ended Analysis — general categorization of responses
- Brand Analysis — identifies and categorizes brand mentions
- Click Analyze
Step 4: Review and Export Results
Section titled “Step 4: Review and Export Results”- Click on the analysis type (conversation analysis) or question (survey analysis) to view the results
- Transcripts can be downloaded as Word documents or SRT subtitles
- Survey results are exported as Excel files with coded responses
- Analysis insights include categories, frequencies, and supporting quotes
